Default frugal dinner idea, pizza biscuits

i had a brainstorm last night when trying to come up with something for dinner that didn't require much effort since i have a bad cold. looked in the fridge and found a tube of biscuits and spaghetti sauce and cheese and thought hey pizza!
flatten teh biscuits and mush them into a muffin pan. i had the grands size and one of those fit into one cup of the muffin tin. then i put about a teaspoon or so of spaghetti sauce in each one and then a couple of tablespoons of shredded cheese. then baked them according to the directions on the tube of biscuits which was 350 degrees for 13-17 minutes. they do take the longer amount of time since they are filled and in a tin instead of on a cookie sheet. the biscuits rise up over the filling and almost completely cover it so it's kind of a surprise as to what is in them. the kids thought they were great.
the smaller sized biscuits would work too, they just wouldn't rise and cover the filling, and homemade biscuits should work too.

I made something like that once, only I put it in the waffle iron to cook it. It turned out well. Hmmm, your post makes me want to try it again.

Wonderful idea. My kids go nuts over anything made with canned biscuits.

What a great idea!! It's too hot to have the oven on here right now, but I'm gonna make up a recipe card and slip it into my recipe box for the fall. The kids (teenagers) could even handle this one themselves!

What a clever idea you came up with.

I think I will have to copy you some night.
