    Apple Dumplings

    8 oz apples
    6 oz plain flour
    1/2 tsp baking powder
    1 egg
    1 oz butter
    2 oz dried breadcrumbs
    sugar

Cor the unpeeled apples and grate them into the flour in a mixing bowl.Mix and leave for half an hour. Add the baking powder and egg mixing well. Drop spoonfuls of this mixture into fast boiling, salted water, take care that the water does not go off the boil.
Cover and boil the dumplings for 15 mins.
Meanwhile, melt the butter in a frying pan, add the breadcrumbsand stir until crisp. Lift the dumplings from the boil into the pan and toss them in the buttered breadcrumbs. sprinkle with sugar and serve very hot.

Cream or ice cream goes well with this dish.

Glad you found the recipe. Bet dinner was great!

If I ever need a recipe or want know just about anything I go to google and type in what I'm looking for. I almost always find it super quick. I google, lol.
