    Question Question about Roast

I bought a roast the other day. The expiration date was 03/02/06. When I opened the container, I thought it smelled a little sweet. So I took it out of the container to put it in the freezer, and there are some faint blue spots. Is that normal? I'm so paranoid about meat, I'm afraid of anything that I think might be bad. What would you do? I don't have time to return it, so if it's dangerous then its going in the trash and I wasted $7.

I think it's fine (well before the date)Most times if I see bluing it's from the stamp of usda. I'd eat it.

The blue spots are from the stamp and since it's before it's date you should be fine.

No worries. It looks funky, but it's fine.
