Default 17th day of cooking and cost

Today I found out in the paper(obituary) that my daddy had died on the 14th and was buried on the 16th. No one told us and we were not listed in the paper as his 3 dds. His step children were listed though! I went from not knowing he was sick, to having him die, and then being buried in about 2 minutes! I am still in shock.

Yes isn't that something?? We hadn't spoken to him for about 6 years for very good reasons...but it would have been nice to have gone to his funeral! We did FIND out where he was so we put flowers and a card on his grave. It was never that we didn't love him...

    Sorry to prattle on....

So needless to say that in my grief I didn't cook!

I made up 3 cans of tuna, got out the lettuce, cheese and chips and told to the troops to have it.

Now I think I need to go throw up!

Oh Cricket, I am so very sorry for your loss.

I'm sure your family can understand how you are feeling and I think you did great to make up the tuna salad.

I'm am so sorry that you had to find out about your father's passing that way. There is no excuse for that. That was simply mean-hearted. Hugs to you.
