Default What are your favorite frugal recipes?

So, after reading my Point A to Point B thread's responses, I've decided that we're going to be eating at home for at least a month...we have tons of groceries here, and would really only have to buy milk, bread, and fruit. I'm interested to know - what do you guys eat? We have most staples here, fish, chicken, and ground beef/turkey. Also, if there are any families of hunters out there, we have tons of venison, as my dad gives us most of a deer every year. Don't eat onions, or bell peppers, or eggs (cooked ones, I mean, I use them to bake and stuff..lol) So, what's your favorite? Recipes are great, but so are just ideas for how to use this stuff up cheaply!

    Thanks
    Sandi

So. I feel silly. There's a whole sticky about this that I've never noticed...grr. But, if anyone has ideas that aren't in that thread, bring 'em on! I'm off to go read it, like I should have done in the first place..lol

    Hey, no question is silly---ok?

We used to eat (when we had 3 dk's at home) pretty much like we would have eaten had we been eating out. We'd have homemade pizza, chili cheese dogs with chips and dip, hamburgers/fries, etc... But then we'd also have things like hamburger with cabbage and onions (I know you don't eat onions) rolled up in a flour tortilla (tastes like a beerox but much easier), stew and cornbread, tortilla soup and chips, taco casserole, tacos, enchiladas....etc. . This may not be what you were fishing for but I felt like you were needing ideas as much as recipes. Yankeemom's taco twist casserole looks yummy but I've never tried it since I've been on a diet for a while now. Just search for that. Sounds like you're off to a great start. Have fun!
