Default Give me your best meatloaf recipes!

    Get in mah belly!!!

Making a meatloaf today, I asked my Granny for hers but it just doesn't seem right...She tried to tell me from memory..lol Anywhoo, I'm looking for a good one, I would like any tried and true recipes that you just love. I am very fond of ones with a tomatoey flavor, but I only have ketchup and tomato paste. DH hates a sweet topping also. I've got 1.5 lbs ground chuck, binders like breadcrumbs, stuffing mix, saltines....I dunno, I'm only restricted in the tomato products, things I have listed above. I have chili sauce too, if that makes a difference. And onion soup mix....Okay, lemme have 'em!

    Thanks!

Nope, just ground beef. I was thinking about the stuffing mix, but that's our usual meatloaf, I wanted to change it up a bit. You think a tomato-base in the stuffing meatloaf would be good?

How about Salsa? I always add 1 to 1 1/2 cups of salsa to mine. Then a cup of bread crumbs (more if salsa is runny), a couple of shots of worshisire sauce(sp?), always a good squeeze of mustard, an egg and mix well. Into loaf pan and cook at 325/350 for an hour and drain and check . More heating if needed.

mine is a hodge podge of ingredients just thrown togther by my mother one day. its ground beef, 2 slices of bread soaked in eggs, salt, pepper, half an onion, few tsp. of worchester and a few tsp. of poultry seasoning. once thats all mixed and made into loaf form just smear some ketchup on top and bake. the worchester and poultry seasoning is what makes hers taste different from any other that we've had.

Don't have salsa or bread. I'm pretty limited, I guess, since we're literally broke. DH won't eat it if it has onion in it or green peppers, either.

I do usually put worcestershire sauce in mine, it gives it a wonderful flavor.

im sure bread crumbs would work too. dont worry, my kid wont eat it with onions in it either. i either pick them out or leave them out all together.

I made these last week for the 3rd time and EVERYONE around my table loves them, and my kids are some pretty picky eaters. There's never leftovers when I make them.
Here's a link to the recipe. You can choose the add-ins that your family would like best.
