Default Post your homemade pizza recipes here!

    How I make them:

    1. buy a pack of mozzarella cheese for $2.50, pizza sauce for $1, and crust pack for 38 cents.

    2. mix crust w/ 1/2 cup of hot water, then place in oven 5 minutes to harden slightly before putting on toppings.

    3. Add 1/3 of both cheese and crust packs, then sprinkle parmasean cheese on it. Place in oven until done.

I think it averages to around $1.50 per pizza

I like leftover BBQ chicken, leftover cooked veggies (especially broccoli) on my pizza. Of course you always need lots of mozzarella.

Believe it or not we do eat pizza. I buy prepared crust -- Wheat free pizza crust from Whole Foods. They aren't cheap and are small, but there are 2 in a pkg.

I put either pesto or a little cheese on the bottom (DH can't eat tomatoes) then layer up the veggies. I love spinach, red onion and black olives on mine but also often use broccoli, grated carrots, mushrooms, etc. Sometimes I put sliced tomato on my half. Sometimes I add a little chicken or hamburger. Then I put a little more cheese on top and pop it in the oven. Because we don't usually have cheese I spend a little more and get a good one.

This is pretty much a treat for us, because as I said it is rather expensive.

I get large bottles of spaghetti sauce, 2 quarts for $3. Pizza dough I make from scratch. Add what ever toppings, leftover taco meat, coldcuts, leftover chicken, etc. And a sprinkling of whater cheeses I have at home. We get 5 lb blocks of cheese for a good price
