Default What I did with leftover shredded cabbage

I made something I forgot my mom made when we were little. I stirfried the cabbage in a bit of olive oil, salt, pepper and lemon juice. Till wilted, not real wet. Then I took refrigerator biscuits and flattened them and put the cabbage mixture in it like a little calizone looking thing. Then I put it in my sandwich maker (it has been sooooo hot here didn't want to fire up the oven) then you bake until brown. These are real good hot with a little salt (seems to bring out the lemon flavor) or I even like them cold from the fridge. The biscuits are about 50 calories, a bit of cabbage is what? next to nothing. I am try to watch everything I eat. The kids even liked it. You could mix it up and do a little tomatoe with meat and cabbage. They make small packages.
Let me know if anyone else trys them. Enjoy...

That sounds delicious... I might have to give that a try.

We made something similar growing up, called them Runzas. Homemade bread dough and beef with shredded cabbage, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper inside. These sound quicker and easier! Thanks for sharing.

    By the way, nice blog

I am going to try this with some frozen rolls (thawed of course). I have some ground beef and cabbage I need to use, so this will work out great!
