    Default Salsa Recipe?

Anyone have a basic salsa recipe that uses canned diced tomatoes?

I just add some salt, lime juice garlic powder, chopped onions and green peppers and cilantro(fresh or Dried) to taste.

    1 avacodo, diced (otional)
    1 small onion, diced
juice of one lime or lemon

I use Mrs. Wages Salsa packets. You can use fresh or canned tomatoes. You can can it or freeze it. I think it is cheaper than adding onions peppers and what ever.
I have used it for about 4 years now to make salsa from my tomatoes.
Very easy and less time consuming than chopping all those veggies.

When I'm in a hurry I use them. Add chopped green chili (can use canned or frozen if you want), salt, pepper, garlic (I use minced from a jar), and a little cilantro if you like it. I also usually add chopped onions, but not always.

If you like it hot put the canned tomatoes, onions, and jalapenos in a blender. Add spices like garlic, salt, cilantro, and whatever else you like. Blend away and soon you will have a great salsa. Start with half or one jalapeno and keep adding them until you get it as hot as you want.

It can get too hot fast so add them slowly and taste the salsa often.

I usually make my salsa from scratch but I make it with canned tomatoes when I'm in a pinch.
