My hubbie loves the sausage, potatoes and green beans in the crock pot---cut everything up into bite size pieces, put it all in the pot, pour stock over the top and add some water, I do about 1/2 and 1/2 with water and stock, cook 8 hrs................mmmmmm

I just got the same sausage on clearance at Safeway, we added potatoes as well. I just fried it all together in a fry pan with some oil and some onions. I used half a sausage and about 6 potatoes, then saved half of it for another meal and to the other half, I added some beaten eggs mixed with milk and salt. Mixed it all together and put it in a a greased casserole and baked it. The crockpot thing sounds good too, yum!

What we do is cut the sausage into bite size pieces, brown in skillet with 1/2 of a med. onion. Drain & set aside. Peel & cut up potatoes, then chop other 1/2 of onion, add salt and pepper & boil together. Remove 1-2 cups water (if there's a lot) and set this aside. Add cooked sausage/onion mix to pot and simmer 15-20 min. more.

I add back some of the water if the "chowder" seems too thick or sometimes add some inst. mashed potatoes if it seems too thin. Nice name for this is Sausage-Potato Chowder...the other name is "Bubble & Squeak"...eat it and this is just what you will do.

Just made this the other night for dinner & it was really good. I used 1/3 c water, used cheddar cheese and browned the top under the broiler for a few min.

My Brother makes something similar. He uses regular breakfast sausage...potatoes...eggs...s&p...salsa. I believe he bakes it in the oven. Pretty tasty!

    here's what i do:

cut the sausage in small pieces though not bite sized. brown them. make two packages of brown gravy. sautee some onions.
make a batch of mashed pot.'s. mix the onions into the gravy.

take a 13 x 9 baking dish. put just a little bit of the gravy in the bottom. then place the sausage, cut lengthwise face down in the gravy. cover with the masked potatoes.
    bake at 350 for about 15 - 20 minutes.

serve. when dishing out, then ladle some gravy on top!
    my kids love this.
