Default wondering how this will taste . . .

I've been wanting another way to cook chicken. I've been going through recipes and I found one for pork chop with onions and cooked apples. I want to use what I have on hand, and am thinking about trying this.

    chicken breasts cooked with
    applesauce
    camelized onion
and maybe a little cheese on top??

I thinking about trying this in the crock pot. Has anyone ever made or had anything like this?

Sounds good to me. If the applesauce makes it very sweet, would the cheese still work though? Oh. Just remembered. Some folks top hot apple pie with cheese, so it will probably be fabulous!

The combination sounds really tasty. But I don't think the onions will carmelize well since a crock pot is a moist cooking method They might only steam and cook down. It sounds great with a good slice of sharp cheese on top.

Sounds good to me, except unlike everyone else, I would probably do a more mild jack or provolone.

Well, I carmelized the onions first and then cooked my new recipe in the crock. The outcome . . . . well, it was O.k. Not the best, not the worst, but I probably won't eat it again.
