    Default Weekend Food Wrap Up

Anyone find that by Saturday they are scrounging around their cupboards and fridge to use up the last bits of things so they won't go to waste before your weekend grocery run? This is what I seem to do on a regular basis. Today I am trying to use up 3 slices of bread that still seem edible even though they should have been used by 5 days ago. I had one slice with PB and Honey for breakfast. For lunch I am having the last egg we had in the house use by date a few days ago, another slice of bread with butter and a slice of It was actually free with a coupon a month or so ago and it's a single. I have never had in my whole life and it's not that bad. I won't be running out to buy it any time soon, but for a free lunch on my scrounge day it works . Anyone else find they are scraping together the last out of the fridge for weekend breakfast or lunches in order not to waste anything? I can't bring myself to throw away food (that hasn't gone bad) just because there isn't much of it left.

LOL, yes. All the time. Ours is usually Friday night. Divvie up the left overs and have salad to go with them if there isn't quite enough.
