Do we need Secret Pals/Not Secret Pals

I really do feel that most of us here are really concerned about each other and honestly do pray and think of one another. But I was just wondering if there was any interest in having a Frugal Village partner, someone definite to pray for and send encouragement too. Of course, you would still be praying and thinking of everyone else too but this would just be your special friend. If so, I am willing to pull something together. Let me have your thoughts. Neither option would require money - after all we are frugal.

1. Secret Pal - Interested parties are assigned, but no one knows who their secret pal is until later. I think there was something like this going on here when I first started hanging out in the village but I don't know how successful it was.

2. Villager to Villager - Interested parties are again assigned but this time its not a secret and as much as possible you would be linked with someone with similiar interest.

Please do not be afraid to say that both ideas stink or that it's just not something we need right now, or that its already covered. Hey we are all human.

I like the Secret Pal idea.

Would we do snail mail cards for our pal-- encouragement, or holidays, or whatever?

EDITED TO ADD: OK, it just occured to me that if we did snail mail our pal would just have to look at the postmark to guess who we were. How did that work out before? (the last secret pal thing was before my time)

Sounds like you guys are okay with this. I will work on the details some more and get a sign up going. I figure we would start on January 1. We all have plenty to do right now and I wouldn't want to burden you with anything else during the holidays. Anyone with suggestions on how to make it the best it can be, please let me know.
