Sign Up for Woman to Woman

Please read this entire post before signing up.

Looks like there was interest in the Woman to Woman idea so I am willing to give it a try. Please pm me if you have any questions or comments. This is long but I have tried to cover as much as I can.

The Woman to Woman program will be a way for us to have direct encouragement from your special pal.
1. Give direct encouragement by pm, cards, etc.
2. Daily rememberance in prayer for any special needs they have.
3. Check their posts and reply if you can.
4. Chat, pm or email when you can.
5. Share hobbies or interest, share tips on kids, etc.
6. Swap ideas, recipes, coupons.
7. Discuss bad days and celebrate good days.

What I need from you:
1. Sign up in this thread. After a week or so, I will assign names.
2. PM me with the name of any family member or close friend you already have on this site so I don't pair you with them. You should already be encouraging them.
3. PM me if there is anyone that you would not be comfortable being paired with, including me. This and all other information will be kept confidential. I don't need to know why just who you are not comfortable with.

What's next:
1. After a week or so, I will assign your Woman to Woman partner.
2. I will look at the profiles in the user cp section to see any clues as to who I think you'd be good paired with according to hobbies, interest, children, etc. Please update your profiles when you decide to sign up for this.
3. We will try this for only 3 months and then decide if we want to do it again with a new partner, keep the same partner, or just drop the whole thing.
4. If at any point before the 3 months is over you need to drop out, please pm me first and I will take over your partner.
5. Once you know who your partner is you will want to contact them with whatever info you are comfortable sharing such as - family birthdays, kids and hubby's names, anniversary date, special needs or prayer requests, hobbies, interest, etc. Just make sure you only confide what you are comfortable with and remember that you are both to keep everything you share/discuss confidential.

Well here goes, please pm me if you have any thoughts, questions, ideas, etc. and please be patient with me. I will post the assigned names around Monday, January 5th.

I'd like to be a part of this. I'm not a religious person who does any praying but I'd be as supportive as anyone can be to anyone who needs it. Great idea Pat.

Count me in too!!-My one and only concern is that if Holly gets admitted to the hospital, I may be unavailable for awhile...so if everyone thinks that will be a problem, I will understand if you need to exclude me ::shrug::
