Raspberry Bed Winterized.
http://www.durgan.org/ShortURL/?PRCXB 23 October 2008 Raspberry Bed Winterized
The Raspberry bushes are cut back to ground level. They may be cut just below the existing fruit clusters and new fruit will form in Summer on these branches, and the new shoots formed will produce a late Fall crop. I do this, since I have some ever bearing plants further back, so don't require the Summer crop, also it is more expedient. The bed is fertilized with some vegetative compost, and lightly mulched to diffuse rainwater.
