I came back to check up on my thread and saw all these great things...it made my day. Babies, First Communion, debts being paid off...no matter what is going on, we have something we can be thankful for.

We got our $1000 EF fully funded last Friday and started our other account for Christmas and other stuff (right now we have some of the $ from the insurance settlement sitting in there to keep it separate from the checking).

We got one of our new windows put in (the one where the glass actually shattered)--it works great and it feels good to have a window that opens in this room!

The festival went well--it was packed with people, so that should mean $ in the bank for the school.

Our stimulus check is going in on Friday.

My baby boy has taken good naps the last two days in a row (and he slept in until after 6 this morning)!

Only 17 days of school left (the kids are cheering that more than Mom).

Other than minor spring allergies, we are all well (although some might question my sanity levels, lol).

I have a great morning sickness remedy that sounds weird, but definetly works.

Drink lemonade (real lemonade, not the koolaid type) and eat potato chips. For some reason those two things will actually settle your stomach!

    Oh, and Congrats!!!

I hear something odd--apparently my oldest does as well, and we walk down the hallway to the kitchen, and the two dishwashers are dancing, passing dishes between them, and singing! "Come Mr. Tally-man, tally me banana! Daylight come and me wanna go home. DAY-O DAY- AY-AY-O"

Oldest looks at me and says, "That how you know you're giving your kids enough chores - they sing slave hyms while they work. You must be the best mom ever! High five!!!"
That is too funny! Brought back a memory... one time I made my daughter (then about 6 years old) scrub up a mess she made on the floor. I overheard her singing the Little Orphan Annie Song: "It's a hard knock life, for us, it's a hard knock life..." Poor little thing!

And hey!!! Life is good! It's springtime, the flowers are blooming, and I'm off from work tomorrow! As long as I stay outta the grocery store and gas station, I'm happy!

    I'm thankful that...
    * Dh is coming home pretty soon for his R&R
    * Dh is almost halfway through his tour to Iraq
    * We are quickly paying off our debt, and saving up for a car with the extra deployment money.
    * Our family is happy
    * All my bills are paid

My kitty who was sick over the weekend is back to her chipper little self - and watching her scamper about always perks up my mood!

~I have a roof over my head that I can call my own.
~I have a wonderful family who love me lots
~I'm successfully growing flowers and am learning more about herbs/veggies to grow on my own.
