Default This Might Be A Helpful Idea about Groceries....

This might be helpful for some of us, depending on the stunts that your local grocery stores try to pull.

In my situation, the only grocery store that has acceptable prices for our budget is HEB.
Anyway, for a long time HEB had been selling a brand of canned vegetables called "Lakeside Foods" they were .39 cents a can. Okay now, HEB has stopped selling this brand & now we are forced to pay the next best price which is .50 cents a can for the store brand.
Irritated that they were doing this, I called the store manager & discussed this w/him. He made a suggestion that I could come to the store & speak w/ the grocery manager & I could probably have him order me some canned vegetables from lakeside, but I would have to purchase the food in cases. That would be a great idea for us b/c I want to stock up. He also told me that there would be no shipping fee.
So if your store stops selling the cheapest brand of something you like,it might pay for you to see if you can still order your favorite products through them.

Good for you...most people would just complain, but not actively try to do something about it.
