Hi from Portland, Maine
My husband and I live in downtown Portland, Maine, which allows me to walk to work and him to have a really short commute. We don't subscribe to cable or internet service (Wi-Fi baby!). We buy in bulk, compost and hope to install a rain barrel this summer. We're obsessed with insulating and keep our thermostat set below 70 in the winter. We also eat most plants (well, I eat all plants, he eats meat on occasion), which keeps our food bills low. I'm excited to find this site and look forward to learning more ways that we can save money and live a simpler life.
