Default Paid off old car loan

As many of you know, we had an accident in March and the car was deemed total. But because we had gotten an extended warranty we owed more than the car was worth (that plus they stopped making oleros - which i was told depreciates them more). So after getting back about $400 of the warranty we still owed a little over $1400. We got our rebate check for $1676 on Friday and I'm happy to say that we paid it off!!! Yeah. It is in the mailbox ready to go.

We're also working on dh's credit score. He has one that isn't too far away from being at the 640 that Rural Development requires for getting a loan. the other 2 are above. SO... last month we had paid extra on 2 of his cards, which brought one down to 1/3 of the balance. Dh got reimbursed for schooling for a little over $300 so we also used that this month. We paid off the one card that we'd gotten to 1/3, and paid the other one down so that was at 1/3. YEAH!! So now all we need is everyone to start reporting....
We're going to leave his at around 1/3 only making the minimums because it's one of the lowest interest cc we have. We will now concentrate on the sears - just bought a freezer - and should have that paid off within the next few months. Then onto my cc's.
