Default Spilled beer on the rug

I'm such a klutz. I just had 1 can of beer and dropped it. Then stupidly, I picked up the wrong end of the can and spilled about 1/4 cup of the beer. I blotted it with a towel but will it make the rug smell? The embarrassing part, it happened at someone else's house. I told her that I had spilled beer on the rug but I still feel so careless.

Will it smell??? The Old Man once over carbonated a batch of beer he made... and one by one the tops popped off the bottles... beer cannons... and boy did it smell!

We used baking soda and vinegar to clean the carpet. It no longer smells like a brewery.
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

Yes it'll smell, but no need to beat yourself up over it...accidents happen. I'm sure whomever's rug you spilled the beer on will take care of it.

We've spilled beer here before and got it up off the rug right away with no left over scents.

Aw, don't feel bad, that's no biggie. We've spilled beer before on carpet and it cleans up fine.

Use vinager, if it can take the smell of cat pee out of my carpet, then it should be able to take the smell of beer out of the carpet!!!!
