Hi Everyone, new here. :)
I'm a married mom to two boys, Matthew (who is 9) and Dakota (who is 4). My DH is Mike and we live in Calgary, Alberta. We've recently had some changes to our finances and after stumbling upon this forum for frugal recipes, I found there was oodles more stuff! I just had to sign up.

Right now I'm looking at achieving two things: getting our grocery budget down to roughly 75/wk, and singling down every penny we spend so I can put money into savings for property taxes and school shopping and Christmas (those are the three biggest ones besides birthdays that take a huge chunk out of us). We live on roughly a 1.5 income household budget since DH works and I receive a pension from the US military.
I look forward to finding lots of helpful advice and hope I can provide some in return.
