Dee, she is the lady who wrote the Tightwad Gazette magazine and then put it into 3 books. The guru of frugality.

I've heard the radio interview before. It was great! It made me really realize that she was a REAL person!

I love her book, the complete TG. I still read it to get inspiration.
I wish I could just spend a few days with her, following her around to see what she does!

Shell,
She was talking about how they lived a frugal life and the choices that they had made. She also was taking calls from listeners and talking about how we all have to make value judgements on what is important to us. Some people choose to buy only organic products and that is their choice. The main point of frugality is freeing up money in one area so there is more of it in other areas for paying off debt, investing in your future, being able to support your local economy , etc..
