If the weather is nice we will get our boat out today - we don't do that much anymore with gas prices so high. I also want to get some tomatoes and peppers planted today and just enjoy an extra day off with my family!

If the plants are pot bound, Jack will be planting the garden, if not we will wait another week.
Later today dd and probably Mil & Fil will come over & we'll head to our Village parade. Following that there is a service at the cemetery honoring those who have served our country, past and present.

Beautiful day here! Usually Memorial Day weekends are cold and rainy here in the Midwest...but not so this time.

Everyone here is still sleeping...(love this time of day). DH has to work today at noon, the kids and I are thinking of seeing a movie at our $3 movie theater or maybe go to the pool.

I'm just enjoing my day off from work! No cleaning today, just spending time w/my kids.

Looks like rain here today. I'm planning to just stay home and enjoy a day of NOT going anywhere for a change... doing some cleaning and scrapbooking, that's about it.

    Happy Memorial Day

I am looking through my stockpile and making this week's menu and grocery shopping list.

I hope to go for a long walk today after eating so much Saturday and Sunday at cook outs.

Today I plan on eating healthier foods: Breakfast was strawberries and yogurt topped with a little puffed cereal; Lunch will be leftover pasta with sauce, beets, and a bowl of fruit; Dinner I haven't figured out yet, but it will be something healthy- maybe a fresh salad, soup, and cornbread

I have cleaning to catch up on: bathroom, cat litter, kitchen, and water the balcony plants if it doesn't rain today, it's kind of overcast here

Happy Memorial Day! Hope everyone gets to relax and enjoy a day off! We are supposed to be going on a picnic with family and friends, but (YIKES!) there is a 40% chance of rain so far, so we'll see.

It's really cool here, we can hear jets overhead (rare) because we live close to the Air Force Academy.

Doing up some dishes and watched our town parade (it goes right past our apartment complex), I want to catch up and spend some mommy time with DD but not sure that is going to happen. Grilling out? not sure we are suppsed to get some rain this afternoon.

My plans include cleaning and getting things put away. My in laws are coming over for supper, so the cleaning is first. Dh wants to go to Bomgarrs and get foam to put under our pool, so if that happens then we will start filling up our pool. Thankfully it is suppose to rain tonight and tomorrow, so that will help a little with filling the pool!! Other than that, not much going on!!!

    Happy Memorial Day to all.......

We are just going to have a relaxing day. My dd had her dance recital Saturday and Sunday (2 performances plus rehersal and pictures ~ what were they thinking scheduling it on a holiday weekend?????) My parents are in town and they will be leaving by about 1:00 to drive home to Houston. We will probably just swim and grill and hang out outside and just have a fun day.

    Happy Memorial Day!
We just came back from DH's parade and are playing outside until the rain comes.
I have a TON of laundry to do today!
I also have to work on our June budget and menu plan for the week. Gotta take DD and DS to the store and grab a watermelon and some milk for dinner later. If I get the menu finished, I'll probably grocery shop as well and get that out of the way.
Otherwise I plan to be lazy and relax and enjoy the day.
We spent all day yesterday working on our yard and got everything planted. I love when youf irst get mulch etc. down... everything is so clean and fresh! Now to keep it that way!
    Enjoy your day everyone!
