I am so excited!!
My husband and I are taking our first of two classes tomorrow to become foster parents! All we have left to do are these classes before the state can start placing children with us. Right now they have a 6 year old little girl that needs placement for possible adoption. It makes me sad to think of what these children go thru, but I am happy on the other hand that we can offer them a nice loving home to come in to.
In another forum I belong to, one of the members 4 year old daughter fell and hit her head which caused her to have a stroke on both sides of her brain and is now on life support, please say a prayer for her, they are not all that sure she is going to make it.
When the world knocks you to your knees, remember that your in the perfect position to pray.

Congrats on your good news!!! Fostering can be a rough road, but it can also be very rewarding! My sil & her hubby were foster parents for years and they ended up adopting 7 of their foster kids over the years.

Fostering children is a wonderful thing that you and your dh are going to do.
there are so many children out there that need a decent home
and a lot of love.
so congrat`s and I hope you do well on your classes.
I took a friend of dgs that I`ve raised for 10yrs.
I treat as my dgs also.he`s 16 now had him for 13 month.
I feel so bad and sad for the little girl, it just break`s my heart.
will you please keep me updated on how this little girl is doing.

UPDATE
the foster parenting class went well, we just have one more class this month then they can start placing children with us!!
on a sadder note: the 4 year old little girl passed away. It just breaks my heart. I didn't know her family, but her mom is a member of another forum I belong to. Please pray for the healing of this family.When the world knocks you to your knees, remember that your in the perfect position to pray.
