Does Anyone Know How Long Dog Food Can Be Stored?
I would like to stockpile a bunch of dry dog food in a big Rubbermaid barrel, but I am afraid of it spoiling after awhile b/c of the oils. I have 2 huskies & I would say that a barrel full would last them 6-8 months. Does anyone know how long you can keep dry dog food without it going bad?

Unless that barrel is airtight I thing the only thing that would happen is it will go stale.
Would your dogs even notice that? I know my dogs wouldn't.

Actually, pet food can go rancid because ofthe oils in it. There should be an expiration date on the bag....just like people food
