Just a thank you
I just wanted to say thank you to all. I have only been a member for a very short while but I have learned so much already. My way of thinking has totally changed.
For quite awhile now my DH has wanted to go back to the more simple way of life. We have a garden. And chickens. (dogs, cats and goats) Having home grown veggies and eggs have cut our grocery bill down. Not alot but a noticable difference.
We have a clothes line and a dryer. Due to our allergies I haven't been able to use our line as much as I have wanted but I have used the dryer in the mornings (for the most part) when it is cooler so as to not heat up the laundry room and house and that has helped.
I am going to Wal-mart later today. I promised the kids that when school is out and everyone passed I would take them to Wal-mart so they could "blow" their allowance $ as long some is saved for our vacation too. I am going to get a clothes rack. I don't even have the urge to look any where else for anything else. Frugal thinking. And I owe that to this group.
As I have said in other posts, I do so wish that I had found this group earlier.
Love to all and God Bless-

So glad you've joined us now! I have found such great ideas here that I never would have been able to come up with otherwise!
It really is great to be able to share "frugal" ideas with others and not feel like an outcast about it!
Good luck at Wal-mart later today! As part of our new years resolution, DH and I stopped shopping at Wal-mart. Neither one of us could go in there and simply buy the things we went in for. We always came out spending more than what we had planned! We haven't been in there since December, and we've really saved alot!
So kudos to you, that you are able to go in and get what you need without picking up other stuff!
