Default I made my mom cry!!!! In a good way!!!

I had shared with you all in an earlier post about buying a bichon puppy for my parents as a surprise. My post was about traveling with a bichon. Anyways, I have been busy getting things all set up. My friend has a really nice cage that she is giving my parents. My brother and his wife are going to pay for all first year vet bills. (ie: neuter, shots, etc), and I have gotten everything else we will need. So today I'm talking to my mom and she says that she thinks that she and my dad are going to get a dog. I immediately told her that she couldn't get a dog. She was like, "why"? So I explained everything to her and she literally started to cry on the phone. She has secretly wanted a bichon for a couple of years and new that my dad would never spend that kind of money. She is sooooo excited. She even has a name picked out already!!!! My mother is the type of person to hold her feelings close to the vest. In my 36 years of life I have only seen her really excited about 4 or 5 times. I'm telling you she was absolutely giddy!!! She can't wait! My dad wasn't home but she will tell him when he gets home later. I know he will be thrilled too! I am on top of the world. It feels so good to get something for someone that you know they want and appreciate.
Anyways, I just had to share! Now the hard part is going to be waiting an entire month until I can get the pup!

What a great story! I am always amazed when I can do something to make my mom react in that type of way. It is such a wonderful feeling.
