Default What do you think of Peoplefinders.com and other similar websites?

If you wanted to find out about anyone, anywhere and get a comprehensive background report on that person and get unlimited searches for anyone you're looking for to get more infomation, which one would you recommend to buy? I want to build a family tree and want to know what the best deals are to get more infomation on my family background. Is Ancestry.com the best genaology website on the 'Net?

I'm not really that into family geneology but my mom was. She used MyFamily.com for ages and ages and loved it. Not sure this helps that much.....as far as people finder I don't know a thing. Sorry.

In my experience, I have always found the exact same information either online, in the library or from others who are willing to help for no charge. I have done genealogy for the last 12 years and have only paid for one of these types of sites once (when I first started out) and will never do it again. If you have a local LDS church, they are a great resource for genealogy, or try your local library. If you need a starting point, I would be happy to help you, just PM me. There is a lot more info on the web than you may realize and its FREE!!
