another freekishly hot day in PA
It's going to be in the 90's again today. YUCK! Very unusual for northern PA. DS has a Baseball game, then he's going on his first sleepover party at a friend's house. I'll be helping out with soccer sign ups and spending time with my mom for her birthday.
As soon as the storm breaks it will cool down. Send up some prayers for Thunderstorms in PA Today!

Our projected temp with the heat index for today is 109 degrees!!! That's in Maryland and our air conditioner is not even keeping up now. It doesn't cool very well on the first floor anyway, but usually cools the basement where we live and it isn't even doing that today.
I've already done all the cooking I'm going to do today. I made a pasta salad and put some Turkey legs in one crockpot (I had thawed them and needed to cook them) to use tomorrow evening for sandwiches. I put some boneless pork ribs in another crockpot for BBQ tonight after church.

Nothing can taste as good as being thin will feel.

Ugh. I'm in Northern NY and today it's in the mid-upper 80s. It's not been *too* bad because the humidity is relatively low, but that dang sun is HOT!! And no a/c. It was 82 in my house last night, but it was bearable. We kept it dark and it wasn't bad downstairs. Upstairs is another story altogether.
No rain for us until Sunday night/Monday.

I'm east of Pittsburgh, and boy, is it HOT! We have AC upstairs only, and I have it set on 75. But when DH comes home, I'm sure he'll knock it down a few...he's a landscaper. So, I won't say a word!
Bought my new oven 1/08 and loving it!
My recurrent nightmare is there is no such thing as PMS, and this is my real personality.

~It's hot here in SJ too. Had to turn the ac on for the first time. Tomorrow we're supposed to be getting temps close to 100. That's insanely high for this time of year. We're keeping nice and cool inside but I'm disappointed to not be able to get all our yard projects done while DH is still on vacation.~

I am north of Pittsburgh and while it is sure hot, it is also sunny and dry. I dont see any rain as yet. Hope my stuff on the line dries before it starts! LOL.....I had better set out a bucket on the deck to catch what water we may get for my plants too.

I'm in central MD. Yesterday it was nearly 100. We have window units, and because DH has a shoulder injury we haven't been able to get the units in yet. The one in our LR is huge and heavy. Our friend came over to help, so it's MUCH better today. thank goodness. We've been hiding out in our basement with a dehumidifier, which has been steady at about 72, which has been lovely. But, the upstairs? Whoa Nellie, it was above 90 yesterday in the house and so humid you could choke on the air!! I don't know how above as the thermostat only goes up to 90, and it was buried at the end of the line.
It was only two weeks ago I was still using a space heater in the bedroom because it was still getting into the low 40s at night. I was sick of the cold then, now I think I want it back!

In PA (central) here too. What can I say, I like the heat. But I don't like the swampy air here. We enjoyed the heat out at Whipple Dam with some swimming and beach reading. Actually we were there yesterday too, with friends. Got in some volleyball, more sun. Aaaah
