Tornado Hits Boy Scout Camp

We are having bad storms here in the area.

A Tornado hit a campsite were the boy scouts were having camp.
40 + reported injured and at least 4 casualties.

This is in Iowa close to the Iowa/ NE border.

Please Pray for them.

I'm in Omaha, things are pretty dicey here. The sirens keep going off and we are heading to the basement.

Tornado's have been crazy this season. We are under a watch at the moment. I am sitting out on the deck with the laptop because the air is so cool and feels so nice. It's getting pretty windy so I should probally go in soon. lol

So sad, my Dad is teaching a fly fishing clinic at a Boy Scout camp in Iowa. I had to call tonight to check to see if he was ok, becuase I didn't know where he was. Couldn't get through, so I had to call my mom. She had heard from him, luckily, not at the same camp as this one. But they had been evacuated due to flooding, so he is in a hotel somewhere near the IA/IL border.

I'll certainly have these families in my thoughts, becuase I certainly had my moment of panic for the day. Luckily, my phone call turned out well, but I know for many it didn't.

That is terrible! Stay close to your radio or tv for updates on the weather. Stay safe! I will send good thingies your way!!

I heard about this on the news, it is horrifying. My boys were scouts and my heart goes out to all of the families.

Geez, they are talking about it on CNN. They had like 32 tornadoes or something. Very sad...

I feel so bad for those parents, I can't even imagine getting that phone call!! How awful that would be. Prayers and good thoughts to them.
We were under a warning about and hour or so ago. We are close to MN border, but there was a few tornados just south of us. We are safe and we did go to the basement. We sort of turned it into a campout for awhile, to help keep the kids occupied. We just put an old mattress on the floor and put a movie in the computer for them to watch.

That is tragic. This entire tornado season has been dreadful. I wonder when it will let up.

Oh those poor boys and families!!! All three of my children are in scouts. I will tell them and their leader tomorrow, maybe there is something we can do.....terrible, just terrible.
