The bad thing about the thank you's... You can get your feelings hurt.

If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

Must be "the very estrogen filled village" that made me say that.

Anytime... as long as you're mowing grass or hauling something heavy with it (insert Tim Allen grunt). Don't want to waste fuel.
Then we can stand around, drink beer and talk about sports.Russ

Oh, darn.
I have to diminish my man credentials somewhat here: I'm not into sports.
Sorry.
Guess that makes up for your estrogen moment.

Okay, so I just noticed the little Thanks button thing. Way to go, way to be noticing changes!! Oh well, if I used my brain all the time it would be too tired to function when I really needed it.

At first I thought the Thank You button was a cool thing but I'm not so sure now. Y'all are making jokes and stuff and the OP's original comment is lighthearted but I'm seeing a trend that I'm not sure is very healthy.
In a few of the controversial threads (which I have READ but not posted in, so I can be objective) I see battle lines drawn between sides and the "thank you" button used as a tool to divide the sides. The comment when you click thank you reads something like "thank you for this USEFUL post" but I'm seeing the thank you button clicked when the person just wants to side with someone and SNUB someone else by not thanking their post...it really has nothing to do with the "usefulness" of the post anymore. A whole thread can go on like this, with someone merely going down the entire thread thanking those who agree with them, and ignoring those who don't. What value is there in that?
I guess I'm making a public claim that maybe we'd be better off without this feature if it continues to be used this way. Just my 2cents.
Debt-free forever!

Good point and thats why I said," The bad thing about the thank you's... You can get your feelings hurt."
The controversial threads is the place you will see that and I don't think you will avoid it.
That being said the reason for the "thanks" button is to cut down on the number of posts that simply say "thanks". Mission accomplished IMO.Russ
