    Default Hello from Virginia

    Hi all,

    I registered months ago.... but let life get in the way, but am here now to see about making this a regular in my journey in frugality!

    Here is the questionaire:

    How did you hear about frugal village? I know it was from another message board, but can not remember which one.

    What interests you here? Learning new ways to increase my frugality quotant.

    What will you contribute? I hope I can contribute new ideas, or at least different perspectives on old ones.

    Do you know any other members here? I probably do, but have not gone "looking" for anyone yet. I am "One Frugal Mom" on all message boards that I post on.

    How many kids? Ages? I have 5 children, 2 have left the nest and one will be going off to college in the fall of 2008. My two youngest are currently 7 and 9 (in one week).

    Tell us about yourself. LOL I never know what to put down for this question or request. I am a mom... I strive to feed my family the best quality of food for the least amount of money. I like to learn "old fashioned" skills, which include sewing and canning. When I have time I love to read, but it is usually books on gardening, cooking or lately, learning about natural medicines.

    Do you own any pets? Well... I take care of 5 of them, but am not sure if I consider any of them "mine"! LOL My kids have 3 hamsters, my oldest son has a cat, my husband has a dog and we took in my oldest daughter's cat when she could no longer keep him. Although I take care of them... I never really had a say in them. LOL One day I will have a pet of my own! LOL

    Occupation? Mom, mainly.... but for an actual "income", I substitute at my kids school, I do some hours with a senior care company and I do a bit of Mary Kay on the side.

    Married or single? Married.

    Interests and hobbies? My spiritual life, sewing, cooking, canning, growing food for preserving, learning about natural medicines.
