What do you do...
to cheer yourself up when you're feeling down? I've been a little bummed for the last three days. Nothing is going wrong, life is normal, I just feel down. I would like to hear about how you get out of a funk. TIA!

I try to read my Bible every day. Even just for a few minutes. I also pamper myself if I have the time, bubble bath, manicure, pedicure, buy new make-up(throw old away first),even to buying a new bra and panty set, something like that. I also have a dear friend that I call who is wonderful in making you laugh.

I definitely get that way. Usually going out for coffee with a friend picks me up. Yeah, it costs me $3, but it's my happiness. Exercise definitely makes me feel better. A nice run or walk outside and aaaah

Hope you feel less... "funky" soon!

I found that talking to DH about things really helps now. It didn't help so much about a year and a half ago when we were having marital problems, but the yelling and screaming sure did make me feel ok for a few minutes.

Nowadays, I don't get into a funk but I do notice myself getting really agitated with things. I'll try to find an old movie, play a game or I'll try to hang out with some friends of mine. I have a couple that always make me feel better and/or make me giggle alot, so that's a good thing to have. Exercise and a good indulgence food works wonders too.Wife to DH since 10/31/2002!

I crank up some of my favorite music and bust a groove in my living room.
It usually works! Maybe just try something fun and out of the ordinary for you. Anything that might make you smile should help!

Sorry you are feeling down.

For me--my kids cheer me up tremendously. I can be having the worst day, and when they come home from school, my world becomes all
I love hearing about their days, listening to their stories, etc. And when they're done with that, I love to challenge them to a "tickle fight". Horsing around with them really makes me
When they're not around, and I'm feeling blue, I try to keep busy. I'll lose myself in a book. Weed my garden. Do some sewing, quilting, or baking. And if all that fails, I fake it. Sometimes just pretending to be happy really works

Something physical that really gets your blood moving and get those endorphins kicked into high gear. Exercise or running the dogs is what helps me chase the blues away.

I find that if I go out and work in my flower beds or take a walk with one of my dogs it can help. I will also watch a favorite movie or re-read a favorite book. I don't get out of my funk right away but it does get me moving in the right direction. I also talk to my sister or good friend. It's no fun being that kind of funky.

~Sometimes I just go with it and cry. I get it out & get on. Having a good cry can be so freeing.
~I like to go outside and get some fresh air and look at flowers and birds, etc.

I either go for a walk or bikeride.
Or I just have a "me" day. Lay around in jammies all day, read books, watch tv, eat junk food....

I go through this often since I quit smoking..one thing that really works for me is going out to the garden and rubbing my fingers over a tomatoe plant or basil leaves and the smell instantly pulls me out of any bad mood I'm in..I know I'm weird but I swear it really does work..Another really good one is lighting my autumm wreath scented yankee candle.. I just love love it... lastly would be to have a really good cry..I hope you come out of your funk real soon..

~I've been in a funk too. Maybe you've noticed how aggressive my posts have been lately, hehe! I'm coping by doing something nice for myself and doing something nice for someone else. I got out my timer and have been cleaning 15 minutes in each room today to keep busy. A clean house has a very good effect on me! And I pulled out a new recipe to make for my dh, Orange Cream Rolls. I've never been able to do this or that to pull myself out of a funk but I have alot of things I can do that help me wait out the mood. Exercise, sunshine, water, bubble bath, chat with a friend, hug somebody(how about me?I need one!), sing loudly, dance around the house, meditate, take a nap, count your blessings, lie back and look at the clouds, go get an ice cream cone....Hope you bounce back quickly!((cyberhug))~

I try and keep busy. I read my bible, start working on crafts, pull out a favorite book to read, put together a box of goodies for a friend.

I wear the sexiest pair of underwear I got. Seriously...I could be having a bad hair I feel fat and want to crawl under a rock and die type of day but there is something about wearing a sexy pair of panties that just makes ya feel good.
