Smile DD getting on the frugal band wagon-kinda

I had to share this. My dd (12) is catching on. Her goody bag is still almost full. She said she is "saving it for a rainy day". I buy the boxes of Mac.& cheese. She likes to eat one for lunch sometimes. Well, she just told me that we were down to 2 and that I "need to go back to that cheap store" (Aldi) "and get some more". She said that I "can save money by going there which means you can buy more mac/cheese than if you went to our old store." I guess she does understand that by saving $$ you would have extra for the "important" things in life.

    That is great!

Sometimes having a kid on board is both a blessing and a curse. They can be an amazing help, but don't let them see you fall off the bandwagon because they will let you know!

I can vouch for this one! LOL. My DS has been on board for about a year now. (Ever since he had to save for his own Wii). He definately keeps his eye on any frivolous spending I do....

Wow that's great! My kids are catching on too but I just say I cant afford to keep buying the good stuff and the store/cheap stuff is just as good if you want the good stuff, buy it yourself, it works! lol
