Tattoos & Frugality...

I have no idea why I was thinking about this this morning.

But I was just curious about how many of us who live frugally have tattoos? How many of us don't have one but want one, but won't get one becuase they won't spend the money?

Personally, I have 6 (

), they are all hidden away where I can cover them up when I don't want them showing. (I used to wear a suit to work, and people were always astounded that I had that many tattoos hidden under my suits

). I got most of them before I was 21. I think I've only gotten one since then and that was several years ago.

I haven't gotten any since, becuase I just don't want to spend the money on them. I guess when you grow up, there are better ways to spend your money!

Just curious where everyone else stands with this subject!

I will get more. I know it cost money and doesn't benefit the family, but i want something for me. My next one will be in memory of my grandfather. Either a lobster or a deer.

I have 5 and my DH has 4. We just got new ones in March of this yr. B-Day presents for us. I do have to say they were the most expensive that we have spent mine $200 and his $250 but they are the nicest ones we have. My next one will be something to do with my boys.

I have one, planning on three more. Eric has five or six. I love them, they're a fantastic expression of self. I think that once you've settled on them and believe that you can live with them for the rest of your lives, they are great. Just have to be sure before you put the money down for them.

My dd who turns 21 in a few weeks wants her and I to get a tattoo together! It would be a first for both of us, I've not committed to doing it. I know even if I don't she will get something!

I don`t hav any,but have thought about it. I`d like a rose or a butterfly. Don`t know if I will ever get one.

I have two tattoos, both that I got before I got married a second time. My first one, I got it back in 1999 and the second one I got when I got out of the Marine Corps in 2001. I've also had my tongue, eyebrow and navel pierced (none of which I have anymore due to varying reasons). Do I want another one? I sure do. I've always wanted one in my back. I originally wanted one on my stomach, but that sort of fell to the wayside. I'm still trying to sucker DH into getting one but he always tells me:

"Don't we have better things to spend our money on?"

Foiled again!

I do plan on getting my kids names and birthdays above and below my first tattoo, which is on my lower back.

i have one and dh has one.
i want one that will be symbolic of my kids.
dh wants more, but we just don't spend the money on them because we always find something better to spend our money on.
ds has one, oldest dd wants one, she even has it drawn out, but won't spend the money. lol she is cheap. she is always telling me to get my own gun, as i keep threatening to do. she said if i got a gun and started doing them, then she would let me do hers! lol

I have one on my ankle I got when I was 22. I have also had my eyebrow and belly pierced. Eyebrow ring had to go when my company went corporate, and the belly piercing was destroyed by multiple surgeries. I sure miss the eyebrow ring!

I would like to get one more tattoo- an eternity Celtic symbol w/ DS name.

I have two. ONe along my lower back (tribal design with daughters name in script) and one on the side of my calf, 4" tall butterfly with "inner strength" in chinese underneath (color). Getting another one soon. Friends are all pitching in as a belated b-day gift to get me one. I'll be getting a Celtic dolphin. All mine are hidden. I'm an executive assistant for the president of my company. Don't think they care though, they hired me with my nose ring lol I have 13 piercings.

I'm saving my money for a tattoo, but it seems to be coming along really slowly. I'd like the word "grace" on my forearm. I had my nose pierced, but it never healed properly so I let it go.
