Cell phones work better when they are on.

I just sent my kiddos off to the store and to run some errands for me since I'm down in my back. I told them when they went out the door to turn on their cell phones in case I had to get ahold of them. Well guess what? I had to call and neither of them have their cell phones on. I forgot to tell them to run one errand. Also I've just discovered my cell phone is missing too. My son borrowed it the other day because his wasn't charged and apparently he didn't put it back. I can't find it anywhere.
I love them dearly and they are usually very responsible but the one thing they are bad to not do is keep those cell phones charged AND turn them on when they are out.
I know it could be worse but it still drives me nutsoid.

I am guilty of going places and not turning it on. I leave it off when I am home because I buy my minutes as I need them. I got it for emergency use, coming home from classes at night if I was to break down. Though I have found that several people try and call me on that number before my landline, and burn up my minutes.

justpeachy thats what we do. Buy our minutes as we go.
My son finally did call me and now I know where my cell phone is. My dd has it in her purse. Its not charged either because she not only has it but forgot it on. Well at least I was able to tell them what I needed them to do. LOL

Mine's on 24/7. I used to turn it off at night or when I wasn't expecting a call but I found out that if I have it off and someone calls me, I won't know unless the person leaves a voicemail message. The number won't show up on "missed call" if the cellphone if off.

Mine is usually turned off. If a person can't leave a voicemail, it can't be too important. I do check my messages at least 3 times a day.
My cell is primarily for emergencies, and for the free long-distance service for DH to call his out-of-state relatives.

Mine is always on as well. I have grandparents in Ohio not doing well. My son never has his phone on which is really annoying especially when I've tried calling during an emergency.

My daughter is the hardest to get in contact with! Everytime she leaves the house I have to ask "Is your phone on?" "Is the volume up?" She usually will say "Yes."
After she is gone for a few minutes I try to call and NO ANSWER! ARGH!!!
She is only 15 and the only reason she has the dang thing is so that we can get ahold of her if we have to. And of course if she needs us.

I let my cell phone die a few days ago and haven't bothered charging it up. Anyone who absolutely has to get a hold of me will have my home phone, so whatever.
So yesterday I unplugged my cordless home phone so that I can plug in my toaster oven, and I guess I forgot to plug it back in. I got an email last night from my husband that said he tried to call me but couldn't get through. How frustrating. I had a good cry when I got the email. They had a whole hour of cell phone liberty and I missed it.
I never thought that he could possibly call me while he's underway. From now on that thing's staying on.
Prior to this though, I'm the hardest person to get through to. I don't know where my cell is half the time, and sometimes I'll just let the phone ring without answering it.~Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.~
