    Question Elk's club?

Are there any Elk's club members on this board? DH and I have been thinking about joining since it's really reasonably priced and they have lots of fun things to do. I would love to hear your experience. We only know one couple in real life who are members, they would be our sponsors.

My dad was an Elk... other than getting to use the gym and the bar, there wasn't a whole lot he could do that non-members couldn't... at least at our local one.

Whenever the Elks has a function, the public can buy tickets and join in.

If there are any Elks on here, what exactly IS the benefit of membership?
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

From what my friends have told me, our Elk's club has dances and karaoke nights, live music, holiday parties (4th of July, Easter, etc.), mini-golf, play area, and two swimming pools. We can go to some of these events with our friends, but in order to go by ourselves we would have to be members. I would love to be able to go to the pool whenever we want. It's only about $130 a year. To me that's worth it to have pool access all summer. Plus, the food's cheap. Maybe we could buy tickets, I'm not sure about that, but I think I would rather pay the low membership fee. Anyway, thanks for the feedback!
