I am so livid!
I wish the cowardly swines that think they have to resort to stealing people's bank card info to steal their money would just keel over and die.
I know it sounds harsh but I finally hammered out my budget to the point where I was going to cut this to pay for that and BAM they emptied my bank account. Yesterday was payday. They made a cash withdraw immediately followed by a debit purchase. Both large sums of money. I had just transferred some money over from my LOC to buy for something for my dad too. I am sooo kicking myself b/c I should've just stayed up that 5 extra minutes last night to transfer all the money to where it needed to go.
Now I have to wait for the investigation, blah blah blah and I have to go 4 business days w/o any money. Since today is Friday the bank probably won't start until Monday making it Thursday at the earliest that I will have the monies returned to my account and interest charges reversed. If they are not done by Thursday I have to wait another 6 business days - Argh!!! I travel next Friday. (I was going to pay bills today) How is that for testing my frugality!?
I refuse to use credit unless its something I need ie: groceries or gas for my car. The rest can wait. This is truly a test of my patience.

Sorry....I just had to vent.2012: The Year Of The Purge!

Oh wow that stinks. Its happened to both myself and my dd. I was lucky though that I had called my fast access and saw a large withdrawal. I called the bank and they give me the number to call where the person was trying to buy something online and I was able to get the purchase stopped before they shipped it. I had to go to the trouble of getting new debit cards though which took weeks. Hope yours gets straightened out quickly.

I know this feeling all too well, this happened to me and DH last year the week before we were going on vacation. They took all the money we had in there plus overdrew our account over a thousand dollars! We were fortunate enough that my boss gave me a loan until we got back from vacation and got it straightened out.
One of the charges was for a $147.00 dinner!! I hope they choked on it! lol
If you call the bank and give them your best guilt trip, they may me able to speed up the process of getting your money back...just a tip I know can sometimes work. When the world knocks you to your knees, remember that your in the perfect position to pray.
