Default Haha, my old boots got flung..

Purging wardrobe - no longer holding on to items from years ago! Who really wants old ratty leftovers? Haha, my old boots got flung into the garbage bag with disgust

I was sick of those old ankle breakers. The only exception to the throw it out rule is cowboy or cowgirl boots, they make GREAT planters. Not worn them for about 10 years, pretty stiff leather, painful ...those old boots were definitely garbage for the weekly pickup. I think I did a good job

I only donate shoes that I bought and didn't fit right, so they are barely worn. Used shoes, even if they "look" good aren't good donations. They are broken in, and usually, by the time I am ready to pitch them, it's because they pinch or rub after several seasons. I took a look at the link you posted. Yeah, I think the style is to more fit to the leg and if you haven't worn them for ten years, they were just plain old crap. Well done you for ditching these old boots straight into the garbage

Mine were a pair of old fake-fur cheapies with crappy soles that I wore everywhere. I bought them for about $8.00 when I was 24 or so. I FINALLY threw them out when I was 50. They were good 'go to the mailbox' or 'take out the trash' boots, though, toward the end...

DH called them my 'Nanook of the North' boots.

Good for you. Doesn't it feel good to purge the house of clutter. I always feel euphoric after a good spring cleaning and decluttering.

I have 2 pairs that I just need to toss, but they're still out in the carport. Plan to part with them on the next trip to the dump. Honestly, I'm not sure why I hold onto things that I don't love. Good to see others letting go of stuff... Makes it easier for me!
