    Default What's everyone doing today?

Gripey and I just had brunch with my ddad, got it cleaned up, I swept the floors and wiped off the counters, Gripey had to clean up the carwash (we got rain = lots of mud there). We're having a really nice, day so I'm thinking possibly swim later. What's up at your place?

~48 yr. old sahw, livin' it up in our empty nest, smack dab in the middle of everywhere.~

I'm planning to walk over to CVS to get my prescription and probably walk over to the grocery store for a couple of things. I think I will probably make more granola bars too. I found the recipe here and they are a huge hit with my kids.

We were planning on taking the kids to the pool, yet the thunder just started rumbling, so I think we'll nix that idea.

I've been doing a bit of cleaning and playing on the Wii with the kids. Stupid rain...we can't even go for bike rides or to the park now. Grrr...cabin fever sets in quickly around here...in Mommy, just as much as in the kids!

Gonna let the kids run outside in the sprinklers, hubby is working from home today, so I'm catching up on some reading and working on what craft projects I'll do with the kids this week.

I'm mowing my lawn and cleaning up the back yard. Hopefully this will be the last time before my husband comes home.

It's still not warm enough to swim here.

DH and I went to Wal-Mart this morning to finish up this week's grocery shopping. After we came home and unloaded it all he and I took a quick nap while the kids played video games.

DS had baseball practice from 3:00-5:30 and then we took him to the batting cage.

Now we are home resting. Eventually one of us needs to get off our lazy butts and cook dinner.

Both dogs need a bath and the house could use a good cleaning. I just don't see any of it happening today. These two to three hours of ball practice everyday during the hottest part of the day are draining us all(96*-99* with high humidity and no breeze, no shade).

I did some cleaning this morning, and then Lauren had soccer practice & a game. My fil & his wife go to the games every week, so we get to visit them at the same time.

Dave is still on crutches (and won't let me take him to the hospital), and he's the worst patient ever! He actually went down a pretty steep hill at the soccer field on crutches! He could have hopped on the pavement, so he was just being a brat about it all. If *I* had done that I would have snowballed down the grass and hurt myself even more LOL

I took a short nap when we got home from the game, then we went out to dinner and then to Dave's work so he could water his plants and check on a couple of things.

Now Dave & Lauren are playing Battleship, and Kathryn & I are surfing the 'net.

I'll probably get offline soon and read my book

The kids and Brian hoed and cultivated the garden, while I did laundry and cleaned up the kitchen. He then took the kids to his parents house for a bit, and they're still not home. I'm still working on laundry, and I'm going to pick up the livingroom some before they get home. Other than that I've enjoyed the peace & quiet, along with the thunder storms we've gotten today. All in all, it's been a pretty good day!

We went to church, then the grocery store... I got the laundry going and put everything away. Did some homework/review for my chem final tomorrow. Now I'm resting a bit and having a cup of tea (it's cold out...and rainy/windy), then need to do some more studying.
