Thunder and Lightning
How do you feel about thunder and lightning?
I love it. I think there is nothing more exciting than a storm. My kids used to be afraid of storms, but we've been working on explaining what the thunder and lightning are and how it isn't going to hurt them (God forbid they get hit by lightning!) and they had a Pajama Sam computer game called Thunder and Lightning Aren't So Frightning and it's been working. Because the older kids are more relaxed, the baby (2) doesn't seem to have any storm anxiety.
So, do you enjoy a good storm or would you rather have it pass you by?My Blog: http://amysreallife.wordpress.com

Love them! We have one starting right now. We've been working on watching them with DS, right now he's just not too interested one way or the other.

I love storms!! We live fairly close to Lake Michigan, so we can sit in our livingroom and watch the storm come across the lake. Lightning facinates me..don't know why, it just does.

No one wants to see the lightning I saw last night! I live in an area by a cornfield, but tangled within tall trees. And there's a power line right out my window. The lightning was striking right behind it and oh my gosh I was scared.
So, lightning scares me awfully. All because of this apocalyptic storm when I was 9 that wreaked havoc on my town for HOURS, flooding it, catching it on fire, knocking down trees...
I love stormy weather, heavy rains, wind gusts, blizzards, but lightning is something I could live without.

I love thunder storms! We were supposed to have some here yesterday, but they didn't come. We had some humidity and rain, but no thunder.

I LOVE thunder storms! I miss them (don't get many in the Pac No West).
Because DH wasn't raised around them (and because he flies through them and knows the damage they can do to airplanes) he can't stand them. They make him so nervous!
When we were living in KY, a huge storm came in one evening. My mom was at our house and DH was flying in at the end of his trip. My mom and I had all of the windows open and were sitting on the porch watching the rain and drinking wine. DH pulled up into the garage, shut the garage door, walked through the house (without saying a word) and shut all of the windows, grabbed a beer and went to hide in the bedroom.
It was hysterical! However, he makes fun of me for being afraid of earthquakes! Its all about what you're used to!

We're having thunder right now...and there is a MOUNTAINOUS thunderhead cloud built up to the west of us, it's very dark. On the other side of the house, it's breezy, sunny, a few puffy clouds - a perfect summer day! :-)

I LOVE thunder and lightening! I mean, I respect it
, but love the sights and sounds.
DH and I have a tape of a thunderstorm to listen to when we can't sleep. Knocks me right out.

If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"
