    Default I'm voting celebrity...eh...Democrat

Truth be told, I'll vote for whomever Oprah recommends.

After all, the Democratic party was one of her "favorite things" this year.

Sure, some say she's the antichrist, but I just see her as a woman taking a stand. So what if she shares fist bumps with the devil.

George Clooney supports Obama, and I'm gladly following in his footsteps. After all, he has been "sexiest man alive" TWICE, thankyouverymuch. That sort of title isn't just handed to you on a silver platter.

Kim Kardashian is supporting Obama as well. In fact, I hear he's the very big with the "sex tape making, reality show freak, look at me, look at me" demographic.

And, of course, Obama has the gay vote. It was actually a pretty tight race, but it comes down to the fact that he's just a snazzier dresser, and his shoes are unbelievably comfortable.

And as for the whole abortion issue, come on! If those babies don't want to be killed, why don't they just run away, or at least say something! Actually, I misspoke. Killing babies? Who's killing babies? Actually, we're just "extracting the fetus." Totally different thing. TOTALLY! Besides, everybody knows that babies aren't alive until they're born. All that so called "kicking" is really just gas.

That brings me to the death penalty. It's just ridiculous. Someone who murders people is obviously just confused, or they're stressed out because they haven't had a fair chance at success. They shouldn't be killed. They should be kept in prison under the strict supervision of a TV (with satellite, of course). Then, when they're released after seven years, they'll be a totally different person and they'll never do anything bad again. Totally!

Oh, and before I forget, we really should think about invading Iraq. NOT! Not invading Iraq. I mean, we should. NOT! We should NOT invade Iraq. I hope I've made myself clear.

So, that is why I'm voiting Democrat this election. You may not agree with me, and if you don't, then send me a private message telling my how you feel and I'll tell you why you're wrong.

I understand your message is humour, but I just need to say this. I think George Clooney is great. I really admire him. Not for being sexy or an actor, but because of his UN speech.
Oprah is a smart woman also.

I'm a democrat, but not b/c of Oprah or any other celebrity. I can pretty much make up my own mind without having to be told who to vote for.

First of all, I recognize that this is humor and sarcasm. And I don't want to start any arguments or debates, I just wanted to add in my 2 cents.

However, I think that regardless of who supports Obama, he represents change. And a radical change is something we need right now.

I don't really support either party, but I'd really like things to change right now, because it's looking pretty bleak for us as a country.

    Stinkin' celebrities, having opinions!

Geez, they should just get their voices out of politics altogether!

Why, just think how different the world would be if Ronald Reagan hadn't been president!

Last election there was a joke going around about pro-Hilary bumper stickers that said "Run Hilary, Run!"

Democrats were putting them on the backs of their cars, and republicans were putting them on the front.

Celebrities are just people. They don't have political backgrounds (in most cases) and I don't see why their endorsement is any more important than mine.

Having said that - several months back, when Oprah was giving some big speech to introduce Obama at some fundraiser or primary, or something....I saw a woman on the news and they were asking her about hearing Obama speak. She said something to the effect of, "I don't care who's speaking! Oprah's here! I get to see Oprah! I'm going to be in teh same building as Oprah".....she was at a friggin' Obama event and she didn't even realize he was the "key" speaker......

That, my friends, is a big part of what is wrong with the politics in our country.....(and yes, I KNOW it happens on both sides)

I would agree that we need change, in a BIG way! But this isn't the type of change that I think I want:

(and for the record, I don't think GW is a true Republican. I think he ran on that ticket to ride his Dad's coattails. Nearly everything he has done is against the basic Conservative Platform).

I will be voting for Obama. If celebrities agree with me, great. NO Lobbyist money, not PAC money .. . .change we can believe in. . .something different than Bush/Cheney. Something HONEST. If Oprah agrees with ME, good for her.
