Healing energies, positive wishes and/or prayers needed
My absolute #1 favorite cat has a uterine infection and is being spayed today. DH and I don't have children, but our cats are our "kids" to us. I know you shouldn't play favorites, but if a heart can live outside the body, then my heart resides in that fluffy black and white tuxie-cat.
She will have to stay overnight (she's never been away from me that long before), and the surgery will most likely be happening as DH and I are in route to the Comedy Club tonight.
Please, if you have a moment send a prayer, a wish, healing energies, whatever your belief system entails for Miss Bossy-Boots.
(PS) All of our cats are indoor only. We now have 6, 3 are spayed, 1 is neutered (we only have 1 male).
We didn't have the other 2 spayed because they were rescued strays and the vet couldn't tell how old they were. Since they are strictly indoor, we didn't spay Bossy or Clarissa. After this we will have Clarissa spayed next.

positive thoughts headed your way for your little furbaby. I'm sure she'll do just fine.
I totally understand the "kid" thing. We have human children, but our pets are like our children too.

Oh! Me 'n my kitties will keep you and yours in our happy thoughts tonight! I hope you can relax enough to enjoy your date. Know that she's in good hands

I totally know how you feel. Our kitties are definitely our kids, too. Last year my favorite, Peaches, had to have some (er, more like nearly all) teeth removed and I was a wreck, I cried at the appointment where our vet said he'd have to have it done and I cried in the waiting room when they took him to go back. He's nine, and has asthma, I was worried he'd stop breathing when he was under. But everything ended up coming out fine and he feels so much better for it!
Can you call them, check in with the overnight staff? If a few phone calls checking on her will help you feel better, do it.

I hope she'll do well. I always found the hardest part was not being able to explain to them why things had to be done or how it would help.
