We've got Tadpoles!
A co-worker who has a daughter one year older than my son brought some in for us. My son is going through a "fish" stage and I missed out on getting a fish tank at a yard sale this Saturday. I was telling the story and my co-worker brought in half of her tadpoles for us (she got them from her parents' swimming pool).
So we'll be raising frogs for a little bit.
Any ever raise tadpoles? I got some instructions from the web, but they make it sound like they'll die if I even look at them the wrong way. Is it really tough to keep them alive until they become frogs?
We'll release them at that point.

We do tadpoles almost every year! They are so much fun. First off, if you don't have a terrarium, we use a big rubbermaid tote. Put some rocks and pond water in there.
I can't remember how often we feed them, but we freeze lettuce in ice cube trays. Then just drop it in and they'll eat it. It works.
Don't let the internet scare you! They are actually really easy to care for! We have never had any die on us, and we release them into our pond once they have legs. We have one frog in our pond who is 4 years old!
