Anyone not like fireworks?
They're loud and the resources that are used to produce fireworks are harmful to the environment. Also, many animals do not like the sound of fireworks.

I don't like them because of the sound, I really dislike loud noises.....
My kids LOVE them so I do take them a couple times over the summer to see them but I could live without ever seeing them again.

I wouldn't say I don't like them but I couldn't care less if I ever saw them again. I just don't see what the big deal is and I hate all the noise of kids firing them off for an entire week.

I only like the ones that are shot off professionally... that produce large bursts of color. I don't like it when people use them around the neighborhood.

I do enjoy the professional firework displays, but I couldn't tell you the last time I've seen one. It's been at least 10+ years. I hate the neighborhood ones. People have already started letting them off around here, and I'm sure it will go on for the next month or so. Grrr.

i don't like them, will not buy them. they scare our dogs. but the grandbabies love them so they can bring small ones over, we put the dogs inthe basement and they can light them off for about 1/2 hour.

Don't get me wrong they are beautiful but I really don't like loud noises and I hate when neighbors do them here in NH they are legal so over the summer it seems every night someone is shooting them off.

I don't like the noise. I also don't like the kids shooting things off in the neighborhood. Professional displays are okay if we are watching them at a distance. Back home (Gulf Coast) they would shoot them from an island so the noise was faint but the display was fantastic.

Ever since dh got back from Iraq, he won't go see them. He hates the big booms and especially the bottle rockets with the whistle to them.

I love to go to the public display that our city has. But, I hate it when the neighborhood kids just light them all day and night just to annoy people! My poor dog hates it and tries to get under the furniture. She is 127 lbs. of black lab mix and she doesn't fit under any of our furniture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Two days ago she got out of our fence and wandered around the neighborhood until another neighbor brought her home. Good thing people know her and know that she is friendly!

The 4th is my Birthday & I despise the store bought ones. The professional displays are OK from a distance.

I personally find fireworks to be pointless...they all look the same to me, and I doubt they are worth the price, especially now!

People with sensitivities to loud noise, bright lights, etc. don't like them either. I wasn't going to post on this because I'm already not very well liked around here, but I just had a big bang go off outside my window that set off two car alarms in the parking lot. When I looked outside I saw my neighbor and her boyfriend running to their car giggling.
We will be surrounded by personal fireworks as well as private fireworks shows at parties both tonight and tommorrow. It is like a war zone around here -- but it is legal so there is nothing to do but close the windows and hide. On the fourth we do go across the street to the park and sit up on the hill where we can see pretty much everything going on across the city skyline. There are never more than a handful of people up there. It is actually not bad.
I too have problems with the amount of money that will be blown up this week and the infringement on the rights of surivivors of war and violent crime and those just seeking peace and quiet.
