beef recall.

I saw that too. Luckily we haven't eaten ground beef in a while, and the beef we did eat, we didn't get sick from.

We actually don't buy the kind that comes in styrofoam wrapped in plastic. We go for the cheap tubes of beef.

Ralph's, Food4Less, Smith's, and a bunch of other stores are also Kroger in disguise.

I just heard the recall was expanded to all Kroger owned stores, including Dillons. I just happened to buy 10 pounds of hamburger in late May (sell by date is June 3) because they were on sale for $1.99 a pound. So, I guess I will be going back for a refund. I normally buy my hamburger from Walmart, I guess I'll have to go back there. Thank goodness I haven't used any of that hamburger from Dillon's!!

Thanks. I heard this on the news yesterday, but missed the details and hadn't gone to the site yet to check it out. The link was helpful. The last time I bought ground beef there, I got the chuck in the plastic tubes. I was glad to see that specifically listed, since I could not find any packer info on it.
