Default Any plans for the 4th?

Just wondering if anyone has plans for tomorrow [the 4th]?

I am going to a picnic which will either be in our community room or out in the courtyard depending on the weather.

Not that exciting but it is something to do for a bit anyways.

Have a happy and safe 4th of July, friends!

    Love,

    Jen

We have a tradition of a day of swimming at the MIL's with a cookout and huge fireworks show afterwards. There should be about 25 of us there. It sounds great, except it's supposed to rain all day!

I had some oral surgery today and am not feeling well. So tomorrow will be low key and just rest. But..... we are having friends over on Saturday.

Hubby's parents are coming up for burgers and dogs in their once-a-year trek to our house (we only live an hour away *eyeroll*) His birthday was on the first, we usually do something on the fourth.

He doesn't know it, either, but I'm surprising him with a little vow renewal thing, after they leave, just some promises I want to make to him, reaffirmation of commitment. It's been a hard year, I wanted to do something sweet.

It will be exactly 11 1/2 years since our first date. Earlier this year he bought me a ring I that had just caught my eye, for no special reason. Neither of us noticed that it has exactly eleven little gems in eleven little flowers. When it got here, I got this notion. I don't think he's even noticed I've had it for months and haven't worn it. I gave it meaning, just waited a little to let him in on it

For the 1st time in 3 years, we have PLANS! Yay!

We're invited to a friends house for a huge party. It starts at 7:00 with lots of food, drinks, live country music (family of the hosts) and fireworks at 9:15. Then the cops will probably be there at 9:30, LOL

It should be lots of fun and not far from us so no traveling the highways.

    Have fun everyone!

We are having my parents and grandma over for a cook out. It's the first cook out we have ever hosted. We live in an apartment complex, so we have a pool that we can all swim in and we have grills all around to grill on. We also have picnic tables and a park not too far away that we will walk around later in the day. We also hope to watch some fireworks at some point too . A nice happy and I hope sunny and warm day!

Going to BIL and SIL laws house. They live behind the lake and high school where they shoot the major fire works off. They're back yard is open so there is a ton of people, fireworks to play with, food, booze, and a good time. It's tradition with us.
