A little bit of language, but not bad. I thought it was funny.

Its always been that way, even before phones. I know people who use to eat breakfast, finish getting dressed, apply makeup, prep reports. and do schoolwork while driving the LIE to work every morning, w-a-y before phones. It was a cute reminder though to how pointless some laws are. The idiots will always be idiots.

Well, that sums up about how I feel about this new law! Not paying attention is not paying attention - no matter what you're doing!

That was hilarious! We have the same law that just started here in Washington State as well. The King County Sheriff's Dept has already said that it's not going to do anything to stop traffic accidents.....<sigh>

I think the phone is the least of the problems in that video, but I have had the misfortune to be riding with a friend to lunch while she (the driver) tried to text on her phone and adjust the radio and talk to the rest of us while driving .... Then again, she also talks about watching movies while she's driving distances at night claiming they help her stay awake. Hmmm, think they'll outlaw other devices? Think they can test for sound judgement in the drivers licensing procedure?

That was funny and so true! I see people all the time doing all kinds of things while supposedly driving!

Good point!
They've actually conducted a study regarding hands free phones, and they found them to be just as distracting as hand on types. We almost bought a van from a woman who proudly told us that her van was wired for hands free use, because it was so much safer and after all she had kids to drive around. Der.

They've also found that driving while using one is just as dangerous as driving drunk. I find this interesting just because so many MADD moms want to see a person drawn and quartered for grabbing a beer after work and driving home, then think nothing of driving down the road yakking it up.

And before you ask, yes, I am in a grumpy mood today.
