Just wondering...
Without naming any political candidates or even party affiliation, have you donated to any campaigns recently? We have. And I sure hope our person wins.
I'm not trying to start any political debate, just wondering about the donating part.On 11-22-85 I married the man of my dreams.
On 01-13-89 I gave birth to the love of my life.

I don't donate to political campaigns at all. I volunteer with Make-a-Wish and donate to the American Cancer Society and veterans charities.
I refuse to donate to United Way although my company highly encourages it because of the huge amount of overhead they have in running their charity.McD

We don't donate to candidates in any election year for 2 reasons:
1. Candidates do fine without our money and I prefer not to donate to them
2. We prefer to (and do) donate to animal rescue, our local animal control, and military charities

We do not donate to political candidates. We donate to children's cancer and disabled veterans.

I don't donate to political campaigns either. I just haven't felt that compelled to. I am very political, and vote. I feel very strongly about issues. But I agree that they do fine without the money that I could and would contribute.

I have donated in the past...unfortunately this year I really don't have a candidate yet-hoping VP choices may help me decide.

I don't donate--they have more money than we do! WE volunteer instead. I do SMART (a literacy program) and our animal shelter and DH works with Boy Scouts.

I don't donate to political campaigns either, I'm more into charitable giving (probably because I work for one)
I think their administrative cost varies by each agency. My organization really relies on those donations every month (that's also where the bulk of my money goes). We get money from three different chapters and their rates vary from 10% to about 16.5%. I'm not sure how they do it with just 10% though, that's pretty lean.

I have donated time/money to a third party candidate, but I wouldn't donate to a Rep or Dem. I've also donated to a lobbyist group which I won't mention since this isn't a debate thread.
