Default I guess it is time to tell you...

next Tuesday, the 15th of July I am going to have a hysterectomy. I have been have lots of issues for awhile and this is the last option available to me. Its not cancer.
Dh leaves to go to the Sargent Major Academy 11 days after my surgery. The boys are going to help take care of me. They are grown, just about, 19 and 16 so they can help me alot. They know how to make a bed, load a dishwasher, do some wash and clean a toilet so I think we will be ok. They can even cook a few things. So I know everything will be fine

Sending you wishes for a fast and easy recovery!

Do you like to read? If so will you have time to pick up a supply of magazines and/or light-hearted books to read while you rest?

(((Jamie79))) Thank you so much for letting us know. I will be praying for you and for a quick recovery.

Have you checked out www.hystersisters.com? It's a fabulous website for gals like us with gobs of information and day to day and week to week support and answers to questions you might not think to ask your doctor before and after your surgery.

I'm sure the boys are going to be so helpful. You're very blessed to have them there.

Stock up on Marie Calendar frozen dinners. They are yummy and easy to fix. Also stuff like instant oatmeal, yogurt, bottled water to keep beside your bed.

You'll do just fine. I'm facing the same surgery. It's scary, any surgery is, but I know the Lord will protect you. Take care and God Bless. Carolyn

    Jamie -

I've been through this surgery myself, along with a few others related to it. Please feel free to PM me if you have questions, fears or concerns. I'm definitely not a doctor, but maybe I can help ease your mind a bit, as one who has gone through it already. Maybe our problems that caused the surgery might even be similar.

I'm wishing you the best, that you have a great doctor you trust, and your boys will come through for you (we know they will!)
